MANAGING CHANGE

In 2007 Malvern Willows ceased providing Australian manufactured office furniture to the local market. A number of factors influenced this decision and they included the cost of warehousing and distribution, the price of raw materials and associated manufacturing costs. Also labour costs, the lack of government support and the demands of retailers coupled with the general Australian public’s apathy to support locally manufactured products preferring cheaper imports all weighed into the equation.

After a short hiatus and with the new mantra - if you can't beat them join them, we now provide quality products designed here in Australia and manufactured in Asia to our strict design criteria. This new operation is exactly that, new so we have a limited range of flat packed Office Furniture products available nationally through Officeworks. Our intention is to build on this range and also bring back a range of quality Office Seating using upholstery fabrics sourced from Australian suppliers.


DIVERSIFICATION

We have Joint Venture partners with many years experience in sourcing and quality assuring products from a wide range of diverse categories throughout South East Asia. They have over two hundred people on the ground with the sole task of finding the right factory to produce whatever it is you require. Once manufacturing begins we can track and check production all the way through to packing the shipping containers and our quality assurance procedures will ensure you get exactly what you are expecting.

We currently source for a varied group of clients and the products include office, domestic and outdoor furniture, seating, bathroom fittings and jewellery. So if you are looking for some guidance through the maize of import options we welcome you and we would be pleased to assist.
